How to make Lavender Bath Salt
This lavender bath salt is so easy to make. It is the perfect mix to relax after a long day, with its soothing aroma of Lavender.

We all have those days when we are working non-stop. It is important to take time for ourselves and relax to recharge and continue our day-to-day.
Part of this more natural and simple journey is remembering to slow down in our daily routines and enjoy every moment.
There are many natural ways we can accomplish this, from taking a walk outside in nature and breathing fresh air to placing our feet in warm water with salts, relaxing essential oil aroma, and flower petals once in a while.
The benefit of using Salt Bath

There are many benefits of using bath salt:
- Relaxes
- Great source of minerals
- Reduce muscle aches
- Exfoliate the skin
What is Epsom salt?
Epsom salt has an entirely different compound than table salt. It is a compound of magnesium and sulfate, and its name came from the town where it was initially discovered, Epsom-England.
It creates a relaxing effect because of its compound and how we use it (to add it in our bathtub with warm water or submerge our feet).
Can I use different essential oils and flowers?
Yes, you can use a different scent. I like to use lavender essential oil and blossom for its soothing effect. I added rose petals to bring different colors to my mix.
How do I store my bath salt?

I place the salt mix in a glass container with three small holes on the lid for air to flow.

Useful Tips
- I try to use as many organic and natural materials in this bath salt.
- When buying the lavender blossoms, make sure they are 100% natural.
- You can always use a small mesh bag to add the salt mix to your bathtub. This will let the water into the bag to dilute the salt and flowers’ benefit, but will stop the flowers from going down the bathtub drain.
- Because we are making homemade and natural products, I like to make just enough to have for a month or less. I do prefer to have small fresh quantities at a time.
With every product we make at home, it is always recommended to try it in a small area first.
